About myRScore
Why myRScore exists
The R score decides admission to many university programs, yet it is hard to follow during the semester. The R score of a course is only known about a month after the semester ends, and three of the values it is made of, the standard deviation, the IFGZ and the IDGZ of your class, are almost never published. It is therefore impossible to calculate it yourself before it is published.
myRScore was born from this observation. It estimates these three values from official data, so that every student can follow their R score during the semester, know which grades to aim for and understand what makes it change.
Official data
The estimate relies on official data from the ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur, obtained through access to information requests, and on the formula published by the Bureau de coopération interuniversitaire (BCI). The engine was tested on real classes before going online. The methodology details its sources, its approach, its accuracy and its limits.
The R scores of the last admitted students, in the Admission R scores pages, come from the statistics that universities publish themselves, cited under each table.
