What R score do you need for HEC Montréal?
R scores at the latest admissions
For these programs, the school publishes a minimum R score: reaching it makes you eligible, without guaranteeing admission. The average is that of the students admitted.

Estimate my R scoreGood to know
- HEC Montréal is the business school affiliated with Université de Montréal.
- To be eligible for the B.B.A., you need a DEC, the minimum R score and three CEGEP math courses: differential calculus, linear algebra, and integral calculus or an equivalent course.
- Slightly below the minimum R score, an offer of admission is still possible, with conditions to meet in first year. Lower, a successful year of university studies can make admission possible.
- Admission scholarships are offered to the applicants with the best R scores.
How to read these figures
Unless noted otherwise, the R score in a table is that of the last person admitted: the lowest among those who received an offer. The average, when the university publishes it, shows where most admitted students stand.
These R scores change every year, depending on the number of applications and the strength of the applicants. An equal or higher R score does not guarantee admission, and a slightly lower R score does not rule it out. So apply anyway, with a second and a third choice.
When the selection also takes other criteria into account, such as an exam or an interview, the R score is mostly used to sort applications. The rest is then decided on those other criteria.
