Good to know

The bachelor's degree is not enough to hold the title of psychologist, since a doctorate, also a limited enrolment program, is then required. The R score required for the bachelor's degree is therefore only a first step.

Université de Montréal offers the program in Montréal and in Laval, each with its own R score. At McGill University, psychology is studied in the Faculty of Arts or the Faculty of Science, and the R score of the chosen faculty applies, as shown on the university's page.

How to read these figures

Unless noted otherwise, the R score in a table is that of the last person admitted: the lowest among those who received an offer. The average, when the university publishes it, shows where most admitted students stand.

These R scores change every year, depending on the number of applications and the strength of the applicants. An equal or higher R score does not guarantee admission, and a slightly lower R score does not rule it out. So apply anyway, with a second and a third choice.

When the selection also takes other criteria into account, such as an exam or an interview, the R score is mostly used to sort applications. The rest is then decided on those other criteria.
